The short version: everything you enter stays on your phone. We built it that way, and there's no server for it to go to even if we wanted to see it.

What we collect

Nothing. Real Life Clarity has no account system, no sign-in, and no server. There is no backend for your data to be sent to. Medications, symptoms, cycle entries, vitals, documents, photos, and everything else you enter is stored only in an encrypted database on your own device.

We do not run analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs that collect usage data. We do not know how you use the app, what you've logged, or that your device exists, unless you email us directly.

Permissions the app may ask for, and why

Camera: To photograph documents (like insurance cards) or log a symptom photo. Images are processed and stored on-device; text recognition for document scanning runs locally on your phone, not in the cloud.
Microphone: Only if you record a voice note. The recording is saved locally, the same as any other entry.
Face ID / fingerprint: To lock the app behind your device's own biometric check. This is handled entirely by your phone's operating system. We never receive your biometric data.
Notifications: To deliver medication, appointment, and reminder alarms at the times you set. These are scheduled and fired locally on your device.
Photo library: Only if you choose to attach an existing photo instead of taking a new one.

Where your data lives, and who can get to it

Your records are encrypted on your device, with the key held in your phone's secure hardware. We cannot read your data, recover it if you lose your phone, or hand it to anyone who asks us for it. There is nothing on our end to hand over.

Because there is no cloud copy, you are responsible for your own backups (for example, your phone's own backup system) if you want your data to survive a lost or replaced device.

Deleting your data

Uninstalling the app removes its local data from your device. There is no account to close and no server-side copy to request deletion of, because none exists.

Children's privacy

Real Life Clarity is not directed at children and is not designed to collect information from anyone, of any age. It doesn't collect information at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Because the app's entire design is local-only, we don't expect that to change without a clear, separate announcement first.
