Journey Patient Care

Support

A real person answers.

Journey Patient Care is built by one person, so support is not a ticket queue. Email [email protected] and you will hear back.

If something is wrong with the app, say what phone you have and what you were doing when it happened. That is usually enough to find it.

Before anything else

Make a backup.

Because nothing is stored on a server, your backup file is the only copy that exists outside the phone. Make one early rather than the day you need it.

A backup is encrypted with a passphrase you choose, and it restores onto a new phone. Keep the file somewhere you can find it and keep the passphrase somewhere separate. If the passphrase is lost, we cannot open the file either, and there is no reset.

Common questions

The ones that come up most.

New phone
Install the app on the new phone, then restore from your backup file using the passphrase. Do this before you get rid of the old phone.
Locked out
If the phone's screen lock changes, Android can discard the key the app was using. There is a rescue path on the lock screen for exactly this. If it does not get you back in, email us before doing anything else.
Alarms not firing
Android puts several protections in the way of full-screen alarms, and Samsung adds more. The app walks you through the exact settings the first time you open it. If an alarm is missed, run that walkthrough again from the app before assuming it is broken.
Family view
The family view has its own passcode and shows a limited version of the record, so someone helping out can see what they need without seeing everything.
iPhone
An iPhone version is coming soon. It is not ready yet, so for now the app runs on Android. Email us and we will tell you the day it lands.
Refunds
Purchases are handled by Google Play, so refund requests go through Play. If you have a problem, email us first and we will try to sort it out.

What we cannot do.

We cannot see your records, recover them, or reset a passphrase. That is the same architecture that keeps your family's information private, and it cuts both ways. Your backup is the safety net, which is why it is the first thing on this page.

Journey Patient Care is a personal record-keeping tool. It does not diagnose, treat, or monitor anything, it does not give medical advice, and it does not replace your doctor.
